Addy's First Day

Addy is officially in the "4 year old class"... if you don't believe me, just ask her. She has said "4 year old class" about a hundred times today! Anytime we asked about school she would end with "...in the 4 year old class." I think this will be a good year. She knows and likes her teachers. She feels very comfortable at preschool and Grandma is right down the hall if she were to get in trouble! ;) The big problem now is schedule. We should have started going to bed at a strict 8:00 about a week ago. Oh well, we'll get the hang of it.

Random Thought: I always choose the wrong time to do "functions" like random parties to sell goods. This is a crazy week as it is but I decided to have a purse party anyway... ugh! I didn't plan great so now I have to pay a babysitter. I better get a great deal on some awesome bags!

Other Random Thought: I'm enjoying Melrose Place right now. I liked How I Met Your Mother too last night. I recently claimed proudly "I don't have any shows" but now I think I do. I need DVR!

Labor Day Weekend

Though I don't completely understand the point of being off work in order to celebrate working, I'm not complaining!

We headed to Tennessee for the weekend for some camping and whitewater rafting. We had a great time on the river. I didn't get any shots of the actual rafting but I did get a few of Addy and Brett playing in the river. I felt really bad though... I forgot Addy's bathing suit... so my kid was the one swimming in the river in her panties! There was no way I could tell her she couldn't swim just because I forgot her suit! She had such a great time. She even called herself "Captain" after she turned a paper towel roll into a telescope (like the pirates use). Brett busied himself attempting to relocate the biggest rocks in the river.

As you can see below, Addy had an exhausting time.

We finished off the weekend with dinner for my Grandma's (my Dad's mom) 75th Birthday.

Labor Day was spent cleaning house, swimming a little, and doing a bit of school shopping of Addy.

Tomorrow is Addy's first day of Preschool, in the 4 year old class.

Catch Up...

Hello! There has been a lot going on since I was last blogging.

We'll start from May.....

The highlight of May was Adelynn's Ballet Recital. She did an amazing job. Several of us were actually in tears.

The highlight of June was our huge family trip to Nebraska and Yellowstone. Brandon (Brett's brother) got married. I now have another sister-in-law, Lizz! Addy was a beautiful flower girl!

After my inaugral trip to Nebraska we met up with Susan's (mother-in-law) side of the family in Yellowstone! That was a blast. Too bad we only see these guys every 3 years. :(

In July we did a mini-family vacation, just the three of us. It was short but a lot of fun! We got in a trip to the ocean and a lot of swimming so it was a success!

The end of July and August (and hopefully September!) were filled with babies! At one point I had four pregnant friends. One left...

This is Baby Madison (technically my great niece, daughter of Derek and Ashley).

Aside from fun in the sun and babies we have been getting in as much family time as possible mixed with a little work here and there to pay the bills. ;)

Blogging

My friends say I should blog again. I told Brett I didn't want to blog because we lost our camera so I wont have fun pictures to go with it. He said "that's the thing about blogging... you can blog about not having pictures to put on your blog...or you could blog about not blogging..that's the thing about blogging you can blog about anything!" He really is a smart guy, huh? So, I'm going to blog again! I guess if Brett Favre can leave and come back as many times as he does so can I!
